On January 21, 2017, women all around the country marched for some of these reasons. For some of those same reasons it is important for me to produce this show and readdress this topic. This show is about more than dating with a disability. It’s about equality, acceptance, self-esteem, perception and self-love. As I spoke to these women, listening to their desires and concerns about love and relationships was all too familiar. They shared the same needs and desires that I hear from able-bodied women. In contrast, some of their fears were different. These women have to deal with the assumptions and stereotypes that are often associated with anyone who has a disability. I salute these women for their courage, honesty, and for being a light of hope. I encourage them to continue to let their light shine…Love will find its way.
