Credentials

Rev. Davis is a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and an ordained elder in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society). Prior to working as a pastoral counselor, Rev. Davis was a Board Certified Chaplain (Association of Professional Chaplains) having worked at Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville and Gaston Memorial Hospital.

Education

Rev. Davis received her Master of Counseling degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA, and completed her undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Rev. Davis did her clinical pastoral education at UNC Hospitals and Virginia Commonwealth University. Clinical experience includes work with Presbyterian Hospital (Charlotte and Huntersville), Gaston Memorial Hospital, and Catholic Social Services of the Charlotte Diocese. She has been with Sanctuary Counseling Group since 2010.

Specialties

Rev. Davis works with adults and adolescents. She specializes in working with clients struggling with grief and loss, depression, anxiety, marriage issues, life transitions, and finding meaning in life. She has experience in the areas of mood disorders, adjustment disorders, caregiver support, premarital counseling, faith development, and self-esteem improvement.
