Ranjit Deora is our meditation master teacher. Joy and health converge in his lessons on Mindful Meditation.
A native of India, Ranjit is a student of the great Indian Guru Dhirendra Bhramchari whose students included Indira Gandhi. His approach is the discovery of the true self through meditation which builds confidence, self-esteem and good decision-making skills.

Life Story:

Ranjit Deora is a student of the great Indian Guru Dhirendra Bhramchari, whose students include Indira Gandhi. He was raised in Udaipur, India where his first teacher was his mother. After suffering a snake bite at age 12, his doctor introduced him to Ayurveda, the 5,000-year-old Indian practice of herbal medicine, and by the age of 14, he had learned the basic principals of the practice.

Ranjit offers the Free Laughter Yoga program every other Saturday at his meditation center in Charlotte.

In 2002, Ranjit Deora founded Youth Meditation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for children and teens through health and wellness education. The program has received high marks from several Charlotte- Mecklenburg schools for improving focus, reducing stress, increasing self-esteem and increasing academic engagement. Ranjit also offers a Mindful Health practice to students at the Alexander Youth Network, where psychologists and classroom teachers there have noted significant improvement in students’ behavior and performance as a result of his techniques.
