Hello and welcome to Vegan Cooking with Saran! As a fairly new vegan; since August 1, 2017, this has been a journey of self discovery, priorities, and discipline. It’s amazing how pivotal of a role food plays in our lives, and I’m not even talking about health. Socially, mentally, emotionally…what we put in our bodies affects our mood, productivity, social consciousness, and conversations. I have been forced for my own well-being and for the sake of educating others to learn about nutrients, vitamin sources, picking fruits and veggies, and where to find the best bargains (Hint: Farmers Markets). I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve been asked “So, you only eat salads?” (Insert annoyed emoji) I must admit that I’ve had to get creative in the kitchen but I’ve enjoyed creating and recreating recipes.
